Bishop Ricky Felton, Senior Pastor

Bishop Ricky A. Felton, a native of Norfolk, VA, graduated from Norfolk State University with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing.  He worked as a Territory Manager for a Fortune 500 Consumer Corporation for 37 years until his retirement. Bishop Felton is currently the Lead Pastor at Life Builders Church of God. He founded Christian Love Church of God (CLC) in December 2006 and served as Senior Pastor until CLC amalgamated with Life Builders in August 2020.

Bishop Felton serves on several Regional Church of God boards including, the Regional Prayer Commission and most recently, the Intercultural Advisory Committee (IAC).  He also serves as Chaplain for the Greater Northern Virginia Alumni Chapter of Norfolk State University’s Alumni Association.

He is married to Rev. Patricia C. Felton and has been blessed by God with three children, Ricky II, Jacqueline, and Rachel.

Bishop Felton attended H.J. Hines Ministries where he accepted Christ as his Savior in 1985.  He was called by God to the office of pastor while attending this ministry.  Under the leadership of Apostle Hines he was a teacher for, “Young Warriors for Christ”, a youth ministry.

Bishop Felton later joined Harvest Temple Church of God in 1991, under the tutelage of Bishop Jimmy Campbell.  He was trained and mentored by Bishop Campbell and served as Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the Pastor’s Council.  In the following years, he received Church of God Exhorter’s License, Ordained Minister’s License, and Ordained Bishop’s License April 2004.

In 2006, Bishop Felton lost his first godson who was only 23 years of age.  He gave the eulogy at his godson’s home-going service; 23 young men gave their lives to Christ.  He realized God had chosen him to mentor men and began CLC’s “Cave Man” Ministries.  Through this ministry, men of all ages met once a month for straight talk.

Bishop Felton praises and thanks God for the gifts, calling and anointing He has placed on his life.  His desire is to seek the heart of God continually, to know Christ so that he may walk in the Spirit of truth and be conformed to God’s image and to bring Him glory throughout his life.
